DPPTU “Turan Ivan“ dooel Bogdanci was founded in 1999. The main activity of the company is production, trade and export of agricultural products, fresh fruits and vegetables in Southeastern Europe and Russia. The most popular export products of the company are cabbage, tomatoes, onion, cucumbers, peppers, watermelons, apples and grapes.

To expand its customers and maintain relationships with existing customers, as well as for updates on new products, seeds, packing, technologies, etc., the company regularly participates in international and domestic exhibitions, trade fairs, forums, and B2B meetings.

To improve and expand its trade with a perishable goods, which need to be stored at specific temperatures (for example, mushrooms are stored at 3 degrees, citrus fruits can be kept for 2 to 3 months if stored in an adequate controlled temperature and humidity, pears are also sold 60 days after harvesting and are best matured at 12 degrees, etc.), the company invested in the construction of a new energy efficient warehouse with 3 cooling chambers, including mechanical compressors, evaporators and condensers, digital authoring services, ionizer and a hydraulic loading ramp.

Turan Ivan dooel received free technical assistance to optimize its investment project and a 15% cash-back grant after the successful project verification, funded by the European Union. 

With the investment, the company now meets a wide variety of European standards, including:

    • Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food and repealing Directives 80/590/EEC
    • EU Regulation 2023/2006 on good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food
    • Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 of 14 January 2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food
    • Directive 2012/27/EU on energy efficiency, amending Directives 2009/125/EC and 2010/30/EU and repealing Directives 2004/8/EC and 2006/32/EC;
      Directive 2010/31/EU on the energy performance of buildings (recast)
    • Regulation (EC) No 1005/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 September 2009 on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer
