Terrasit Insulation d.o.o. was established in 1997 under the name Stiropor d.o.o. The Company is performing its business operations in three owned facilities located in the business zone of the city of Gračanica.

The main business activities include the production and wholesales of Expandable PolyStyrene (EPS) products, with an annual production capacity of 300,000 m³. Most of the products are sold in BiH, Croatia, and Montenegro. Apart from its own EPS production, the company also imports hydro insulation products from Slovenia and Serbia.

In order to improve product quality, environmental protection, health and safety at work, and to increase the competitive positioning in its domestic and international markets, Terrasit Insulation purchased new equipment, including a new shape molding machine and a new thermoforming line together with the relevant auxiliary equipment. The new machines are fully compliant with relevant EU Directives and improves the company`s competitiveness in the international markets.

The new machines increase productivity, competitiveness, offer advanced environmental protection and improve the Occupation Health and Safety of workers.

The company received free technical assistance to optimize its investment project and 15% grant cash-back after the successful project verification, funded by the European Union. 

With the investment, the company now meets a wide variety of standards, including:

    • Directive 2014/35/EU on the Harmonization of the Laws of Member States relating to Electrical Equipment Designed for Use within Certain Voltage Limits
    • Directive 2014/30/EU on the harmonization of the laws of the Member States relating to electromagnetic compatibility
    • Directive 2006/42/EC on machinery
    • Directive 2009/125/on Eco design requirements for energy-related products.
