Preparing for New export markets of construction materials

BAUKLAR d.o.o. was founded in 2012 and is a reputable producer of materials used in the construction industry. The product range includes more than 30 different items including mortar, glues, emulsions, facade coatings and semi dispersive wall paints. The company works in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard. Apart from supplying market sin Bosnia and Herzegovina, the company also exports products to the EU, mainly Croatia and Slovenia.

The production facilities of BAUKLAR d.o.o. are located in an Industrial zone in Lukavac and comprise production facility and administrative buildings as well as one second production and storage facility. The factory, which houses the complete production process, was built recently and is equipped with modern technological equipment that allows efficient and flexible production.

The company decided to invest in the expansion of its production lines in order to compete effectively in the markets of Austria and Germany. The investment facilitates a capacity expansion – effectively doubling the capacity per shift, automation of packaging and resulting improvements in Occupational Health and Safety and allows the company to meet the more stringent environmental standards applied in EU markets.

The company received free technical assistance to optimize its investment project and 15% grant cash-back after the successful project verification, funded by the European Union. 

With the investment, the company now meets a wide variety of standards, including:

• • Directive 2010/75/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 November 2010 on industrial emissions (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control)
  • Directive 2006/42/EC on machinery, and amending Directive 95/16/EC (recast)
  • Directive 2014/35/EU on the Harmonization of the Laws of Member States relating to Electrical Equipment Designed for Use within Certain Voltage Limits
  • Directive 2014/30/EU on the harmonization of the laws of the Member States relating to electromagnetic compatibility (recast)
