Professional Road-side support

NIZ-FENIX d.o.o. was established in 1992. The company provides road freight services as well as tire trade, customs warehousing and mediation across EU countries and Russia.

In order to improve its services, the Company invested in its own technical service center for freight motor vehicles, providing full time technical inspection services.  The investment included equipment for measuring the grip force of passenger vehicles, lorries and buses, railing equipment for ladders of motor vehicles, automatic cargo washer and a freight hydraulic lift.

The project was financed using the simple LET process, which is based on a list of (eligible) pre-approved equipment and shortcuts the technical assessment process. The current list of eligible technologies includes hundreds of individual items for investors to choose from and the list is continuously expanded with new technologies.

After the successful project verification, NIZ-FENIX received a 15% grant cash-back, funded by the European Union. 

With the investment, the company now meets a wide variety of standards, including:

• • Directive 2014/45/EU on periodic roadworthiness tests
  • Directive 2014/47/EU on technical roadside inspections for commercial vehicles
  • Commission Regulation 2016/646 amending Regulation (EC) No 692/2008 as regards emissions from light passenger and commercial vehicles
  • Directive 2007/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 September 2007 establishing a framework for the approval of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles
  • Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 May 2006 on machinery
