Menprom d.o.o. is a family owned company founded in 1990 that has become a market leader in BiH for meat processing.  The company is producing 11 different categories of meat products, made of high quality chicken, turkey and beef. The leading product categories include fresh meat, semi durable and durable products. The range of products is enriched with various products from processed beef and chicken meat.

Besides serving the market of BiH, Menprom d.o.o. is exporting its products to the markets of Croatia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Turkey, Serbia, Montenegro and United Arab Emirates since 2010. After implementing the IFS Food certificate implementation in 2019 the company entered into close business cooperation with the leading retail chain Lidl in Serbia.

The company’s facilities are located in Gornja Tuzla and the production is organized in three inter-connected objects, situated on land with a total area of 5,000 m², which is owned by the company.

In order to meet the needs of foreign markets where it operates, the company purchased a new dried meat slicing machine, a new dried meat packaging machine and a new fresh meat packaging machine. The new machines are fully compliant with relevant EU Directives, they improve the company`s competitiveness in the international markets and at the same time vastly improve the health and safety of workers.

The company received free technical assistance to optimize its investment project and 15% grant cash-back after the successful project verification, funded by the European Union. 

With the investment, the company now meets a wide variety of standards, including:

    • Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 October 2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food
    • Directive 2014/35/EU relating to Electrical Equipment Designed for Use within Certain Voltage Limits
    • Directive 2006/42/EC on machinery
    • Directive 2014/30/EU relating to electromagnetic compatibility.
