FURNITURE production: high product quality and environmental protection

Company Artisan d.o.o. Tešanj is specialized in high quality, massive, modern and handcrafted furniture production. Handcraft production is characteristic that distinguishes this company from competitors. Artisan is an export-oriented company and its products can be found in around 250 high-end shops around the world. The Artisan brand is rapidly growing in the furniture industry and products are sold exclusively under the brand name, clearly indicating Bosnia and Herzegovina as the country of origin. Company currently employs 184 workers.

In order to improve product quality, environmental protection and health and safety at work, Artisan purchased a new wood processing machine Rover C 1648 CNC. The new machine is fully compliant with relevant EU Directives and improves the company`s competitiveness in the international markets.

The high precision machine increases productivity, offers better environmental protection, reduces waste generation and improves the Occupational Health and Safety of workers.

The company received free technical assistance to optimize its investment project and 15% grant cash-back after the successful project verification, funded by the European Union. 

With the investment, the company now meets a wide variety of standards, including:

  • Directive 2006/42/EC on machinery, and amending Directive 95/16/EC (recast)
  • Directive 2014/30/EU on the harmonization of the laws of the Member States relating to electromagnetic compatibility (recast)
  • Directive 89/391/EEC introducing the measures to encourage improvements in the safety and health of workers at work
