“Kentaur-Impex” dooel started out as a private import-export company, dealing with the production and trade of metal products and their application in the modern construction systems. Founded in 2001, the company is located in municipality of “Gazi Baba” in Skopje.

The company’s main products are metal sheet accessories that are sold in the domestic market, but the company is also becoming active in the international trade of sheet metal as a supplier to large foreign manufacturers.

In 2018 the company started developing its own production capacity by purchasing two large production halls in Kumanovo. As part of this expansion, the company also introduced ISO 9001.

To optimize its production, Kentaur invested in a new Plasma Cutting machine in 2021. As part of the investment project, the Kumanovo production site was reconstructed to meet the new machine’s specific requirements. This reconstruction included the installation of a new ventilation system.

The new cutting machine replaces four existing/old cutting machines. The process is completely automatized, resulting in higher productivity and higher quality of the final products and enabling the company to trade more effectively in the EU markets.

The high level of automation reduces the need for manual intervention, which has a positive impact in occupational health and safety. The new machine and the efficient ventilation system also reduce the company’s energy consumption and metal waste, which improves the company’s competitiveness.

The company received free technical assistance to optimize its investment project and a 15% grant cash-back after the successful project verification, funded by the European Union.
