Efficient Road Building

Izolacija d.o.o. has been operating in the construction industry for 50 years. The core business of the Company is insulation such as waterproofing, thermal and acid-resistance. The major product/service is waterproofing and the company has provided these services to major projects in North Macedonia as well as outside the country.

In 1995, Izolacija started conducting preparatory and asphalt works for roads as a secondary activity. Initially activities focused on road maintenance and rehabilitation. Today, the company is a major player in complete road construction based on its unique production of specific types of asphalt – hard asphalt, making Izolacija the first choice for sidewalks, walkaways, industrial floors and underground parking lots.

To further improve its capacity and competitive positioning in road construction, the company invested in a new paving asphalt machine. The new machine is more efficient in energy consumption, offers safer working conditions for the operators and offers higher productivity than the old machine.

Izolacija d.o.o. received free technical assistance to optimize its investment project and a 15% cash-back grant after the successful project verification, funded by the European Union. 

With the investment, the company now meets a wide variety of European standards, including:

• • Noise Emission Directive 2000/14/CE;
  • Regulation (EC) N. 661/2009 concerning type-approval requirements for the general safety of motor vehicles, their trailers and systems, components and separate technical units intended therefore;
  • Regulation (EU) 2016/1628 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 September 2016 on requirements relating to gaseous and particulate pollutant emission limits and type-approval for internal combustion engines for non-road mobile machinery, amending Regulations (EU) No 1024/2012 and (EU) No 167/2013, and amending and repealing Directive 97/68/EC;
  • Directive 2006/42/EC on machinery, and amending Directive 95/16/EC (recast).
