Advances in production of packaging materials

C.P.A. d.o.o. Tojšići a manufacturer or cardboard packaging materials, as well as aluminum and plastic doors and windows. Founded in 1978 as a part of the SodaSo Holding, privatization of the company was finalized in 2001 and has its current  headquarter in Tojšići, Kalesija.

The core business of the company is packaging material, representing more than 90% of sales. Wholesale of office supplies account for 9% whilst aluminium and plastic doors and windows only account for 1% of total sales.

To improve its competitive positioning in the packaging materials market, the company decided to invest in new machinery. The new machine has 5 colour printing capability, delivering higher quality output whilst also increasing production capacity and reducing waste. With a higher level of automation, the investment also improves the Occupational Health and Safety standards in the company, reducing the exposure of the employees to the risk of injuries.

The company received free technical assistance to optimize its investment project and 15% grant cash-back after the successful project verification, funded by the European Union. 

With the investment, the company now meets a wide variety of standards, including:

    • Directive 2006/42/EC on machinery, and amending Directive 95/16/EC (recast),
    • Directive 2014/30/EU relating to electromagnetic compatibility (recast),
    • Directive 2014/35/EU relating to Electrical Equipment Designed for Use within Certain Voltage Limits.
