Flexograf SH.P.K. is a specialized company in the printing and flexo-printing industry. Established in 2012, the company has become a well-known top competitor in the market for printing services. The company offers a wide variety of printing on packaging, printing of self-adhesive labels, wrap-around labels and similar printed products for the food and non-food industries. It has five departments (design, preparation of clichés, printing, lamination and cutting) and operates its activities in new production location with 5,000 m2. The company invests in latest technology, marketing but also in the professional development of its 45 employees. The staff is creative and professional, ready to guide clients in the development of packaging that reflects the product needs and specifications, designed to highlight advantageous product positioning and produced to the highest quality standards.

Over the last couple of years, demand for Flexograf’s products increased significantly in both, domestic and international markets. The company therefore decided to expand its capacity by investing in new machinery. Flexograf selected a new Digital Imaging machine to meet the new printing capacity requirements.

As the new machine replaced a 20-year-old machine, the investment resulted in many benefits. Apart from the desired increase in productivity, the state-of-the-art technology operates without solvents, significantly reducing the company’s use of hazardous materials and the emission of harmful odors,  ultimately improving Occupational Health and Safety of workers. Moreover, the new machine has standardized and simplified different types of printing processes and it consumes less energy than the one it replaces.

The company received free technical assistance to optimize its investment project and, after the successful project verification, a 15% grant cash-back, funded by the European Union.

With the investment, the company now meets a wide variety of European standards, including:

    • Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 October 2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food
